About Us
Mako Property Management was built on a simple idea: property management should be as efficient, precise, and fast as the mako we’re named after. The mako shark is the fastest shark in the ocean, built for speed, cutting through the water with power and precision. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
Our founder started as a real estate investor, building a portfolio of 18 rental properties from the ground up, buying fixer-uppers, having them fully renovated, and turning them into long-term rentals filled with excellent tenants. That experience taught a critical lesson: buying a good rental is only half the job. Managing it well is what makes it actually perform.
Self-managing that portfolio for years revealed exactly where the property management industry falls short, inconsistent service, below-average communication, and pricing structures built to confuse rather than clarify.
Mako was created to fix that.
We built a business model designed around what rental owners actually want, because our founder is one, and knew exactly what to look for. Every system, every process, and every part of how we operate is built around one goal: efficient, high-performing management that protects and grows our clients’ investments.
What that looks like:
- Clear, simple pricing — competitive and transparent, with no confusing fee structures.
- No markup on maintenance and repairs. That’s already part of what our clients pay us for.
- Fast, precise communication — no chasing us down for updates.
- Organized systems and processes that scale, so nothing falls through the cracks.
- A genuine investor mindset, built into every decision we make.
We’re not a legacy company relying on outdated processes. We’re built to move fast, operate cleanly, and win for our clients, the same way a mako moves through the water: efficient, fluid, and always ahead.
